2024 College Scholarship Application
Student must be a High School Seniors graduating in June 2024 and live within
the Riverhead Central School District to apply
Application Deadline: March 22, 2024
Applications will not be accepted after deadline—no exceptions!

Instruction checklist for scholarship application (if application is not fully completed, you will be scored a zero on missing info):
⃝ Complete Part I. Attach information as requested in sections A and B.
⃝ Attach Part II (essay).
⃝ Parent or guardian completes Part III and attaches copy of the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). The SAR is a required piece of the Rotary Scholarship Application. Please see Important Note in Part III relating to this requirement.
⃝ Guidance counselor completes Part IV and will provide you official transcript.

Riverhead Rotary Scholarship Criteria
Riverhead Rotary Scholarship (4 Year Scholarship)
- Outstanding academic record
- Significant community service
- Participation in extracurricular activities and/or employment
- Riverhead resident
- Financial need
- Proof of each year’s full-time enrollment required for each year’s installment
Bruce Stark Memorial Scholarship (4 Year Scholarship)
- A or B average
- Varsity or Unified sports participant during Junior/Senior Year of High School
- Community service activity
- Riverhead resident
- Financial need
- Business or finance major preferred
- Must maintain GPA of 2.75 or better to qualify for each year’s installment
- Proof of each year’s full-time enrollment required for each year’s installment
Tara J. Malanga Memorial Scholarship (4 Year Scholarship)
- A or B average
- Varsity Sports participant-special emphasis in basketball and/or lacrosse
- Community service activity
- Riverhead resident
- Financial need
- Must maintain GPA of 2.75 or better to qualify for each year’s installment
- Proof of each year’s full-time enrollment required for each year’s installment
Hallock Luce III Memorial Scholarship (1 Year Scholarship)
- Outstanding academic record
- Significant community service
- Participation in extracurricular activities and/or employment
- Riverhead resident
- Financial need
Robert K. Boden Memorial Scholarship (1 Year Scholarship)
- Varsity sports participant
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities on and off the field
- Minimum of B average
- Community service oriented
- Riverhead resident
Judge Allen Smith Memorial Scholarship (1 Year Scholarship)
- Special aptitude and interest in law or law enforcement
- Community service oriented

Sheila Morreale Memorial Scholarship (1 Year Scholarship)

PART II (Essay)
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business professionals who provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in business, and build good will and peace throughout the world. Our members work hard to address various local and international service needs. As the world’s first service organization, Rotary’s goal is to make the world a better place by uniting persons of various cultures and beliefs.
The Rotary Club of Riverhead is made up of 80+ business / community leaders who dedicate their life and time to follow the motto of “service above self.” In daily life or in business transactions, we serve our community and our fellow man by putting others’ needs first.

An award will be given to a high school senior in Riverhead who is also a resident of the Town of Riverhead, for the purpose of financing his/her education beyond high school. This award will be made on the basis of character, scholarship, activities, interests, need and promise of future leadership and service.
